Our Story
The Valley Church is located in Lilydale, Victoria, Australia. The pastors, Britt and Josh had a passion to start a local church where people would genuinely feel welcome and safe in exploring their faith. God led them to Lilydale together with a team of people who were keen to support them to fulfil a God-inspired dream.
Our church is made up of everyday people from different backgrounds who believe Jesus provides hope and purpose in a world where things don’t always make sense. Whether you’ve never been to church, are returning after a long time, or are just curious, there’s a place for you at The Valley. We all have a story and every story matters. We’d love to hear yours.
Our Values
-
We choose to be a people who are led by the Spirit, shaped by His fruit and empowered by His gifts. We make room for His presence in our gatherings and our everyday lives, remaining open to His leading, His correction and His work among us. We depend on the Holy Spirit to transform us from the inside out, equip us to serve others and give us courage to share the good news of Jesus.
-
We choose generosity as a way of life, freely giving our time, resources, gifts and love to serve others and build God's Kingdom. We give not out of obligation, but out of gratitude for all that God has given us. We look for opportunities to bless our community, care for those in need and reflect the extravagant generosity of Jesus.
-
We choose honesty over appearances, vulnerability over pretending and grace over judgement. We create a culture where people are free to share their struggles, celebrate their growth and walk together through every season of life. We pursue genuine relationships, live out our faith beyond Sunday and allow the truth of Jesus to shape every part of who we are.
-
We are devoted to God, His Word, His people and His purposes. We pursue His presence, grow in our faith and commit to living out the way of Jesus in our everyday lives. We show up for one another, remain faithful through every season and prioritise the things that matter to God's heart. Our devotion is more than a Sunday commitment; it is a daily choice to follow Jesus wholeheartedly and build our lives around Him.
